The shuttle Discovery will be put in the action on the STS-116 mission. The date is still in conflict with ith a Lockheed Martin Atlas 5 rocket carrying a military payload that currently is scheduled for launch Dec. 7 from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

A very detailed overview about the mission STS-116.
