Although they don't look spectacular, the 2002 NY40 images are some of the best we have of a contact binary. E.S. Howell and Mike Nolan led the team, but had trouble producing images due to ephemeris issues. Here are a few of them. They may not look spectacular, but the whole thing is only .4 km long, and the resolution here is 7.5 meters per pixel.

Do you have a link / citation with more information? (While I was Googling, I found some radar images of 2005 CR37 which aren't bad either.) |

I complied these from several sources, but none of them are web-based. I actually have a slightly improved version of the August 20th image (only a slight difference), but it is raw and I don't have permission to post it. The only additional thing I have is an image from August 16th with 15 meter resolution.
![]() One of the pdf's is http://www.gb.nrao.edu/sd03/talks/radar.pdf It states the resolution as 10 m. Of course, resolution and resolution per pixel are different things. I can see if I can scrouge up a few more. Thanks to my crash almost a year ago, I lost a lot of the material. What I have done is stacked the images at the original pixel size. -------------------- |
