The FOURTH transit season would you believe.
They slightly missed the first - but it managed to be caught with secondary reflections. Attached, an Anim gif from Jim Bell (thanks Jim!). Even though only caught with reflection - still good enough to do astrometry! Jim says there's possibly one more from Spirit this week, similar events for Opportunity in Feb - just Phobos this time around, not Deimos transits to be had. Doug |

Jim says there's possibly one more from Spirit this week Found these seqs on the plan for sol 1083: 01083::p2673::06::2::0::0::2::0::4::pancam_pre_phobos_transit_L7R7 01083::p2749::05::24::22::0::2::2::50::pancam_phobos_transit_L7R7 L7 filter? Looks like the goal is to see variations in the illumination and not to directly observe Phobos. They would use L8 in the latter case. |

Unless it's very late in the day? 22 subframes wouldn't really be condusive to observing the surrounding terrain.

And they would probably use the clear L1 filter for watching the illumination change during transit, L7 (and R7
