As I can judge from the movie the resolution is not bad - about few km, mabe even as good as 1 km.
I think, the "sea" is really located more to the south, because there's no corellation with radar (see attached image). In any case, very impressive map! Belet begins to appear in details... |

I hesitate to correct you, since you've done such a marvellous job of map projecting the SAR, but...isn't your RADAR map bounded at 70°N? And from looking at this map, I think the visible line of latitude on Ricardo's ISS map (which appears coincident in your new image) is at 60°N. Anyway, here's my (unscientific) effort, based on those assumptions (with 0° longitude at top as in Ricardo's image). The correlation isn't especially good here, but it's not as far off. |
