Jupiter from Vega and Giotto |

Browsing an old magazine, I have just found these two calibration pictures of Jupiter taken by Vega 1 and by Giotto. While I remember seeing the Giotto picture elsewhere, I had never seen the Vega one.

Thanks for the pics. It's always interesting when spacecraft make observations of objects you wouldn't expect them to. Another example was an image one of the Surveyor spacecraft took of Mercury from the surface of the Moon.
