I was just skimming through the Unmanned Spaceflight PDF Documents page to see if anything new had been added and found that something I had been hunting for after spotting a brief mention in a 1970's NASA report had been added to the site.

It's a proposal document discussing modifying the design(1.3mb) of the Viking probes sent to Mars for use in the Lunar environment.

This is one of those occasions that I feel rather annoyed at the people who were holding NASAs purse strings at the time...
