Dear Colleague, The Second Announcement of the European Mars Science & Exploration Conference: Mars Express and ExoMars to take place on 12-16 Novemember 2007 at ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands, is now available on the conference website: http://www.rssd.esa.int/mars07/ The conference will be organized into morning and afternoon oral sessions configured around topical themes, and supporting evening poster sessions. The conference will open, however, with a press event. Sessions covering the following areas of interest are envisaged: • S01: Mars interior and subsurface structure • S02: Surface morphology, geology and mineralogy • S03: Atmospheric composition, dynamics and climate • S04: Ionospheric interaction with space environment • S05: Orbital and in-situ experiments for ExoMars • S06: Astrobiology and search for remnants of life In addition, three specific workshops will take place on the last day of the conference: • W01: The meaning of methane on Mars • W02: Planetary cartography techniques • W03: Landing sites and future Mars exploration The registration fee includes an abstract volume and other materials,coffee during breaks and drinks and snacks during poster sessions, in addition to the transportation from Noordwijk to ESTEC (and back). A social dinner will be organized (not included in the registration fee). The registration fees are: Before 19 October 2007 Regular 150 Euros Student 100 Euros After 19 October 2007 Regular 200 Euros Student 150 Euros The registration page is available at www.congrex.nl/07a10 The firm deadline for abstract submission is 14 September 2007.
