Yet another update. There are very few changes regarding the previous one, just a couple new named ground features and a tiny change in the rover's position. The current position corresponds to sol 1464.
The reason for this update is just because I have the feeling Spirit will be parked at this exact position for a quite long time.

Wow, almost one year since the last map update. blink.gif
Here's the current one, after the move down-slope which happened on sol 1782.

And right you were! - Great to see Spirit move again, and thanks so much for being on top of it, Tesheiner.

I removed a bit of "clutter" around the area Spirit is right now, so here's the whole map updated up to sol 1798.

Here's the map updated up to sol 1813. There's still some work to do on the latest "plots" 'cause they are all based on the own mobility data and must be double-checked with a polar projection. I'll do it once a 360 navcam mosaic is taken.

Tesheiner--As we and now headed toward Van Braun and Goddard, I'm wondering if you could make a new crop of the HiRise to include these features--so we can see where we are headed. biggrin.gif

I was almost ready to do it last (martian) summer when Spirit was at the southern side of HP but then it was decided to go towards WH3.
I'll do it once we are back on top of HP.

In the meantime, you can find hirise imagery including HP and von Braun/Goddard here, for example.

And CosmicRocker made an impressive hirise anaglyph of the region here.

I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed that anaglyph, fredk. I also posted a larger anaglyph of Home Plate with overlays of Eduardo's route and labels. Is there any interest in an updated version?

/me raises his hand, somewhat diffidently? (I really enjoyed the original, to the extent that I packed my tatty old red/blue glasses in my laptop bag for a little "show-and-tell" exercise at work yesterday)
