Looking recently at some MGS imagery I found a nice very dark spot on picture
S0901483 http://www.msss.com/moc_gallery/s05_s10/fu...09/S0901483.gif May be that a new cave entrance or only a picture defect? Furthermore, the "seven sister" Dena is not a cave as could be seen in R0800159 http://www.msss.com/moc_gallery/r03_r09/fu...08/R0800159.gif MGS captured it during the sunlight illuminated parts of the bottom. That is awfully big to be an image defect…and round too. I think it maybe real.

I should add: the "new cave" is also part of the Arsia Mons tunnel network area like the known ones and it is around 243.31 E und 5.35°S in the vicinity of Annie. Unfortunatly, all other caves (with the exception of Dena) was probably missed by MGS imagery. Harkeppler |
