A History of the KSC

I saw this book at Barnes and Noble when I was searching for some early Christmas gifts for the family. Anyway I went ahead and picked it up, and boy I am glad I did.

This book chronicles the building of the KSC from when the first Bumper V2 was launched on a makeshift pad to the processing of modules for the International Space Station.

Much of the book focuses on the early history with Apollo, and later the Space Shuttle. Very little of the book covers Skylab and the Apollo Soyuz Test Project.

The book has some pictures, though more pictures would be better. The major gripe I have is numerous awkward sentences and typos. There was one obvious error I caught. The authors listed the Luna 15 launch in June when in reality it launched in July before Apollo 11.

Overall I really liked this book and am glad I bought it. I think the space nuts out there will really enjoy this book. I enjoyed it, it reads fast, and I learned a lot. A book that I can say that about is a good book!
