Dear Planetary Society Member,

The Planetary Society would like to invite you to
a very special event in Irvine, California:

50 Years of Space Science:
Exploring the Past, Inspiring the Future

the Future" is an all day series of presentations on such
topics as:

* New Discoveries in the Search for Life
* Dark Energy: How It Could Transform the Basic Laws of Physics
* Global Climate Change: The Latest News from Space
* Robots in Space: How Far Can They Go? How Much Can They Do?

Co-hosted by the University of California at Irvine, the event
is part of an International Public Seminar Series
organized by the Space Studies Board of The National
Academies, entitled "Forging the Future of Space Science:

Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, ATK, Ball Aerospace,
Aerospace Corporation and Orbital Sciences Corporation.
Additional co-sponsors include COSPAR, American
