Very sad story:

The mother of astronaut Daniel Tani (currently aboard the ISS) was killed yesterday in a vehicle-train collision at the age of 90. He, of course, cannot return to be with his family until at least January when Atlantis next flies.

Suggest that we keep him in our thoughts during the holiday season. I also went to nasa.gov & wrote him a condolence message, if anyone else is so inclined to do so.
