A little self reflection it would appear - thats a navcam image showing the IDD deploying the MI on the FR solar array ( there's two more as well ) results are... Quite what can be determined from this I dont know - as I dont believe we have a reference image of the arrays way back at landing time - but a comparison between Opportunity and Spirit will happen I'm sure - as Opportunity will probably be commanded to do a similar exercise over the w'end Doug |

QUOTE (azstrummer @ Dec 7 2004, 10:57 PM) I sent off an email to JPL asking that, if they're not going to be updating the websites (which is understandable due to reduced staff and holidays), that one of their team members occassionally visit this forum and let us know what's going on. That's just a few minute investment instead of the hours it probably takes to put new items on the web pages. Heck, we'll disseminate the info for them. Looking thru the PDS data of the first 90 sols - the sheer volume of web-enabled information they produce running these things is quite astounding. It would be nice to have this stuff released mroe quickly - the daily manager reports etc - but to be honest - I think we've got complacent. The MER missions have set a new gold standard for public accesability - the raw image distribution is a revelation in itself and we had a LOT of information for a LONG time. New stuff would be nice - but we've been spoilt as it is |
