Spirit's brushed the rock it stopped near yestersol



Looks a HELL of a lot like adirondak to me! - compare the MI image of the Adirondak brushing 11 months ago...


With the brushing of this rock...



YEah yeah - ok - they're TOTALLY different - but I'm not a geologist - makes an interesting comparison however.

I assume this will be the weekend stop-over.

Oppy is still investigating the heatshield by doing an MI mosaic, and then it will head out to the big piece to look at the reflective material close-up. Then it's off to Vostok.

The possibility of restriced sols was something I mentioned in the freenode #space irc channel earlier .
