The International Conference on Comparative Planetology: Venus-Earth-Mars
will take place on 11-15 May 2009 at ESA-ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Further information on the scientific content, as well as on practical aspects, is available on the conference website: http://www.rssd.esa.int/eslab-2009/ The abstract submission deadline for this ESLAB-09 conference is 02 March 2009. The International Conference on Comparative Planetology: Venus Earth Mars will be held at ESAs Technology Centre (ESTEC), Noordwijk, The Netherlands, 11-15 May 2009. Significant progress in our knowledge about Mars and Venus has been made during the past years, much due to many successful space missions, such as ESAs Mars Express and Venus Express. The time has come to bring this knowledge together into a comparative planetology perspective and to see what can be learned not only about each individual planet but also about the similarities and differences between Venus, Earth and Mars. All contributions are expected to specifically address comparative planetology topics. The conference will be organized into morning and afternoon oral sessions configured around topical themes and supporting evening poster sessions. Information will be regularly posted at the conference website: http://www.rssd.esa.int/eslab-2009/ Sessions covering the following areas of interest are envisaged: Planetary interiors and subsurface structures Surface morphology, geology and mineralogy Atmospheric composition, dynamics and climate Aeronomy and planetary space environment Conditions for life and lessons for exoplanets Planetary evolution and the role of water Future scientific missions to Venus, Earth & Mars -------------------- --
