Meridiani Ice theory, New theory for the formation of the Meridiani bedrock

Yet another theory to explain the origin for the bedrock encountered by Opportunity. Senior Member Group: Members Posts: 3419 Joined: 9-February 04 From: Minneapolis, MN, USA Member No.: 15	I seem to recall asking, in the extensive and now closed discussions with Herr Doktor Professor about alternate theories on the development of the Meridiani deposits, whether what we're seeing might not be the result of Meridiani at one time being much nearer the pole, i.e., that there may have been glacial alteration in this region.
