WOW....I guess that must be it. Why no ejecta debris on the plain?

I think the heatshield should be on there somewhere too.

Awesome, just awesome!
That really must be the crater... I can only imagine huge amount of rock layers will be exposed there - and an epic view to boot! smile.gif

I imagine the heatshield will be about one crater width to the right, of the right edge of the crater, so just off that view to the right. I'm sure they'll re image

Doug,

I don't think you linked to the anaglyph correctly. All I get is a thumbnail.

I had to re-upload them because they said 'Spirit' on them

In doing that - I borked the linkage biggrin.gif

Sorted now - I didnt think the anaglyph would work out to such a distance, but I was wrong biggrin.gif

Looks like Opportunity has snapped the same picture again, this time in the afternoon so that the sun is on the crater wall!

Example raw image here.

I'm on it biggrin.gif Hopefully enough to do some colour work. I'll start a new thread with any results.

Thanks for the heads up - I've got a hell of a headcold going on, so I'm not as on the ball w.r.t. image updates biggrin.gif
