Just look at Hubble Insulation. It's crumbling off. It may be going thru more rapid thermal cycles than Apollo hardware - but there's evidence that long space exposure does end up ruining that sort of insulation material.

Just look at Hubble Insulation. It's crumbling off. That was silver FEP (Teflon), not Kapton. I'm quite doubtful that LROC will be able to resolve the state of the blankets on the Apollo hardware. -------------------- Disclaimer: This post is based on public information only.
