Hi everyone,

I have a question: is there a standard, a list of numbers we can use to type in the histograms when we want to make a RGB composit, let's say for Saturn or Enceladus, for instance?

I mean, I usually get an image of Saturn and select the brightest pixels and then I enter those values to the other image I want to create. However, sometimes they could look different from other images.

as far as i know there is not really a "standard "
it depends on WHAT filter
my "rule of thumb" has been
the farther away from the "eye" visible the More of the green image i add to the "blue-ish( uv ) " and the "red-ish ( ir )"

aprox 20 to 30 % of the green is added to the uv and ir to balance it out

this all depends on the center wave length of the filters you are using to make the rgb
if the red and green and blue ( and not one of the ir or uv filters) are used then isis3 should balance it out

that is done in the mosaicing and or photoshop( i use gimp )
