Hi, this is Jeff Fabretto and this is the MER Flight Director report for January 26th 2005. Both vehicles are healthy, we’re going strong.
Let’s talk about Opportunity today, because Spirit is still at the same place that it was, still looking at rock, but the real exciting stuff is going on at Opportunity. We had just gotten done with our campaign back at the heatshield. We backed away from that and we headed 80 meters south and so we’re getting away and moving down the plains now. Today, we plan to beat the land distance record, so we hope to maybe drive a 160 meters today. That’ll get up tomorrow and we’ll know about it two days from now. So, everything is very exciting here on MER today and that’s about the Flight Director report for today. Thank you very much. |
