QUOTE (djellison @ Feb 11 2005, 05:54 PM) QUOTE (Sunspot @ Feb 11 2005, 05:35 PM) Still moving http://qt.exploratorium.edu/mars/spirit/re...24P1301R0M1.JPG Do you think there's any possbility of Spirit picking out the lander with pancam from the top of Husband Hill? It didnt get it from West Spur - so I doubt it Doug Doug, Spirit did get the lander with pancam from west spur. It was during the Cahokia pan series, on sol 221. It's definite as it appears in all filter frames and grows brighter towards the blue relative to the ground. Only left frames got it as it's outside the field of the right cam. Also, the previous sol the imaging overlaps the lander position but doesn't show the lander, presumably because of different lighting conditions. It's a big shame that when they compiled the Cahokia pan they used the previous sol frames for that region and hence the lander doesn't show. It woulda been clearly visible had they used the next sol frames. Check out my reply 48 in this thread for more:Mars Rover Blog |
