However, could several pans not be made from different locations at the top of the hill that overlook portions of the plain below? You may not get a strictly controlled 360 degree pan, but would it not be better than nothing? Besides, even if each pan covered 45 degrees of azimuth, they would still be awsome. Please excuse my crude example: -- GregM I think there's a good chance the rover will end up following just the path you illustrate in your example, taking panaramas along the way as you indicate. |
