I'm confused.
Using the beautiful erwan panorama I tried to name some features. Can someone confirm or correct my interpretation? Where is Spirit coming from? Probably not behind the red line. Is the doug's spirit_A912.jpg image on the right of the above panorama? Help! |

QUOTE (djellison @ Mar 29 2005, 04:25 PM) Looking further up the hill toward Husband Hill http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/doug_im...spirit_A912.jpg Doug Does that mesa to the left of HH have a name or designation? I believe I see cross-bedded layering. -------------------- If Occam had heard my theory, things would be very different now.

Sym05 : i guess you are right with all the named features... Spirit came from the left, i think climbed toward Larry's lookout from beyond the bark wall on the left. Doug's pan is on the right of sol 348 pan, and extend straight ahead and on the Spirit right side; maybe there's only three of four missing navcam images to link the two mosaics for a 360 pan...

After extensive investigations Ok, after doug's and youremi's announcement - we can "Larry's Lookout" still see right between the interrupt of the red lines in Sym's image. Right?

Hello @ all.
Great forum, like it very much! I found my way into this forum via a german astronomical forum. I always enjoyed the artwork of many fellows around here and thought if i might just try the same. Here is one of the first results, stitched, colored and enhanced by me and my softwares, one of my first enhancements by the way: Hopefully u like it. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Frankfurt |

Any insider info on what Spirit might be upto? They don't seem to be making much progress up Husband Hill lately. There are a lot of interesting rocks around though...maybe they're trying to decide which one to go for lol.

It took us 100 sols to get to LL from just down the hill - progress is tough and awkward and stop-start climbing up complex hills.
The last 3 sols appear to have had driving in the right direction though - in the 5-20m range No insider info from this quarter though Doug |

QUOTE (wyogold @ Mar 30 2005, 11:49 AM) Not before 500 imho - more likely 520 I think. Considering how long the last 200m to get to LL took - and despite the improved power situation, the many scientific targets on the way up - I dont think it's a quick jog to the top of the hill, but a slow walk. Spaceffm, that is truly an amazing rendition!! Please give us a full screen version to complete the illusion that we're standing on the hill with our faithful rover
