Great to see a new SAR swath! There are lots of intriguing features visible there - can't wait to see it at full resolution.

Great to see a new SAR swath! There are lots of intriguing features visible there - can't wait to see it at full resolution. Agree the T71 SAR is a gorgeous display of Titan's topography! I have positioned Peter 59's version http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/index.p...st&id=24689 on a S Polar Map (VP's version on his SAR website is relatively low res http://pirlwww.lpl.arizona.edu/~perry/RADAR/ The cropped version shown below focuses on the Mezzoramia area, especially the 'shoreline' that T7 first revealed. T65 is contiguous with T7 but T71 doesn't overlap with T65. The shoreline area is interesting but appears less dramatic and distinct. The fluvial aspects of T71 have already been presented in abstract form http://www.lpi.usra.edu/meetings/lpsc2011/pdf/1919.pdf. In the second post I have shown interesting segments of the swath with my impressions of what is revealed. |
