Did anyone else manage to see the aurora last night? Several big solar flares triggered quite a geomagnetic storm, triggering auroral displays that were seen across the whole of the UK and, I believe, elsewhere. Through gaps in the cloud I caught a glimpse of the display here in Kendal...
There was a very brief display of purple rays half an hour before that pic was taken at around midnight, but I wasn't set up to photograph it then. Just glad I managed to catch something. -------------------- |
