Oh, okay. So all that's needed to streak on Mars is a whole lot of EXTREMELY flatulent algae.
(That type of plot focus might have made for a better movie, actually... -------------------- A few will take this knowledge and use this power of a dream realized as a force for change, an impetus for further discovery to make less ancient dreams real.

Here's a somewhat humorous, and seasonally appropriate story about a gingerbread rover at Caltech's Athenaeum.

Been trying to make out what looks like a hastily slapped on bumper sticker...
With thanks to an Airbag pano and the JPL MSL landing animation and self portrait. |

Team, I've chose the MSL Humor forum to add my thanks (as I don't want to get in the way of the good science being done on this forum). My first view of Mars, back in 1975, was a tiny, reddish disk, through a 50mm cheap refractor (about 30x), i.e. pre Viking.
Now, I'm presented with...ALL THIS!!! Wish I could contribute, but as you may agree, just the images alone, reveal something so alien, my contributions would be restricted to Wow, or dare I say Strewth (which I know are frowned upon in the more focused threads). I just want to say, well done all. The work done here, as with the MERs, will lead to outstanding scientific outcomes. |
