Forgive me if this doesn't deserve its own topic, but I couldn't find a place where this fits. Space Science Reviews has begun posting the definitive technical papers on MSL instruments and related topics (EDL, etc.). Some are nearly 70 pages long! Most interesting is that some are open access (free download). Based on previous Space Science Reviews treatment of planetary missions, these will be assembled into an MSL book after all papers are published in the journal. It looks like some papers are yet to be posted. The book will no doubt be expensive, so if interested in free downloads check out the listing at:

I should add that over time the MSL papers will be pushed off the list of most recently posted papers. The best thing to do is use the "Search within this Journal" box, typing in "Mars Science Laboratory" or "MSL". I notice that the paper on SAM has already fallen off the most recent list.

Thanks for these links!
All Space Science Reviews articles were freely available at the end of last year. I hope, that Springer will do it again in this year. -------------------- |
