I have moved that name to the location of the rock, and updated the map to sol 560.

Sol560 drive makes a significant deviation from planned route map; perhaps they decided to follow a longer but "softer" path going to W, then S and SE following a natural, sand rich depression, clearly visible in the Damia/Phil mosaic

At this point, I am forced wink.gif to post the new possible track (well, two similar paths, I think green one is more plausible!):

Using Google Mars, the new route will add 130-140m to previous planned one, with a total distance of 510-535m up to Kimberley (to be accomplished in about 18 sols adopting last speed average)...

A quick map update - just a small move to the north for wheel imaging.

We had a short drive to get a better look down the ramp - here's an updated map for sol 563.

Updating yesterday's map - now the location of Kimberley behind a large intervening outcrop is easy to see.

Update to sol 568. Next week I will be at LPSC and may not get any map updates done until I get back.

One last map update before I fly off to sunny Texas tomorrow. I hope it's nice and warm down there, because it's like Canada up here.

We had a really good drive and the scenery is getting better all the time.

Maybe I don't need to bother mapping this any more since Dilo is always there a week before me. But here goes anyway - just a rough update while I'm busy at LPSC, with a properly fixed up map after I return.
