Would Emily's wishes regarding crater, mountain, and escarpment naming be observed if/when her asteroid is reconnoitered ??

Maybe honoring some retired Planetary Society staffers or significant and fondly remembered teachers in Emily's schooling? Might be a nice and heartfelt opportunity.

It's a nice thought, but I'm not sure I'll live to see a future in which random km-sized asteroids in the main belt get visited by camera-equipped spacecraft. NEOs, maybe, but it's real hard for me to imagine it happening in the main belt. (And yes, that is a challenge smile.gif )
