Looking at the Sol 428 images through MMB soft... I wonder if it's the first time we see sun images shooted with filters different than L8. It's the case? If so, these images may have comparable range values stretching, and may be be very useful, relating with mars sky color question, as probably the sun will display equal or very close radiosity values through all filters, if there was not any atmosphere on mars. Is't right?

But what difference is images of the sun going to make? If you trust the camera w.r.t. colours when it looks at the sun - then surely it is to be trusted w.r.t. colours of the ground
It doesnt really achieve/alter/establish anything the images taken away from the sun are more interesting - blank parts of sky - they produce some nice colours - they're taken quite regularly Doug |
