What a weird-looking moon. Looks like a Ku Klux Klan hat.
(By the way, those medium-range views of Rhea that Jason promised us earlier today are now coming in on the Cassini Raw Images site. The apparent shortage of geological activity on this moon -- compared to Tethys, Dione and maybe even Mimas -- continues to surprise me; it seems to be the Saturnian equivalent of Callisto.) |

That would make sense. Callisto is the only one of Jupiter's large moons which is not in a resonance with another moon. Rhea is the only one of Saturn's mid-sized moons which is not in a resonance (not counting Iapetus, who knows what happened there) with another moon. |

When you mean stereo, should I look at it a certain way?
Do I need 3d glasses? |

You don't need glasses. Just put your face close to the screen, and try to blur the two images into one by crossing your eyes. If you can't do it, try these for practice.

RE: the stereo images, I don't think there is enough of an difference between your first and second images to produce a usable stereo pair. I certainly can't seen any stereo in that pair. -------------------- &@^^!% Jim! I'm a geologist, not a physicist!

When I made the stereo pair, I had impression to see some depth info's, but now I'm not sure... I tried also to make other steregrams using images separated by longer time intervals, but results still ambiguous. In the future, I will be more aware of possible errors... sorry again! -------------------- I always think before posting! - Marco -
