Hi there, I’m Byron Jones and this is the Flight Director report for Tuesday March 29th.
It’s sol 440 on Spirit and she’s been working her way up the Columbia Hills and doing some remote sensing the last few sols. Tomorrow they have a 20 meter drive planned out in the Larry’s Lookout area and they’ll continue their remote sensing campaign there. On the other side of Mars on Opportunity, it’s sol 419. They’re also doing some remote sensing, but on a sandy crust on the Martian floor. They plan to continue their driving south toward the Viking crater then toward Victoria crater, the ultimate science goal there. And that’s what’s happening on Mars today. |
