Maybe some of you have already seen what I see in this Spirit's pancam image? The eastern wall of Gusev may be coming visible through the dust.
Note, it's very vaguely visible if at all. I don't mean the 'first' and 'second' outlines of the Thyra structures which stand out well enough, but a silhouette much above them. (Tip: I see it quite well if I maximize the image and tilt back the Lcd of my laptop - the slanted position of the screen adding the contrast.) http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/gallery/all...78P2390R1M1.JPG |
