From a Planetary Society update :

Junichiro Kawaguchi, the mission's project manager, told The Planetary Society by email this weekend that Hayabusa will still go for two touch-and-go but initial Nov. 12 and 25 dates may change.
Minerva would be released during one of these descents.

Concerning this, it was found that it is necessary with just for the on board autonomous function which has been supposed in advance as for evading to be difficult, to introduce the assistance from the ground anew.

I think this means that they need to update their software to deal with unanticipated consequences of using the thrusters to make up for the lost gyros.

Yikes - what a translation... But I am intrigued to learn that Itokawa has a red light district.

"After having some business dealings with men, I am occasionally chagrined,
and feel as if I had done some wrong, and it is hard to forget the ugly circumstance.
I see that such intercourse long continued would make one thoroughly prosaic, hard,
and coarse. But the longest intercourse with Nature, though in her rudest moods, does
not thus harden and make coarse. A hard, sensible man whom we liken to a rock is
indeed much harder than a rock. From hard, coarse, insensible men with whom I have
no sympathy, I go to commune with the rocks, whose hearts are comparatively soft."

- Henry David Thoreau, November 15, 1853

I especially like the disclaimer about proprietary data at the bottom:

I guess there is still a need for human translators wink.gif

Is the first image from the narrow angle camera, and the second is from the wide angle navigation camera? That may explain the difference...
