Hyabusa maybe released Target marker.(06:03)

(Though the time between reports isn't necessarily the same thing as the time between events...) Let's hope for good news, they deserve it! Rob |

The guy at air-nifty-com says that it's time for the antenna switching and "we have to wait" -- I remember reading something earlier this week about switching between the DSN and Usuda stations -- can somebody remind me how long the wait is likely to be?

After that, descending has stopped. But Hayabusa did not begin ascending. About 7:00 JST, Operater sent to Hayabusa ascending command, and going into safe-mode. That's how I read it, Itokawa would have rotated around, placing Hayabusa on the night side. I hope Sunspot's interpretation (if he was being literal) that Hayabusa flipped over, is not the case
