Altitude is about 260 meters As of 6:40 JST

Altitude is about 220 meters As of 6:45 JST

Altitude is about 180 meters As of 6:50 JST

Altitude is about 120 meters As of 7:00 JST

Altitude is about 90 meters As of 7:05 JST

7:20 JST Sounds reasonable to me

This is the closest photo of Itokawa, but you may had seen before.

There is some reason:

1) Hayabusa's Camera coudn't shoot cleary closer than 50m.
2) Scientists have priority of pictures.

As of 6:50 JST, the altitude is approximately 180 meters.
As of 6:55 JST, the altitude is approximately 160 meters.

Looks like the rate of decent has been halfed (~7cm/sec)

Maybe not,

As of 7:00 JST, the altitude is approximately 120 meters

teaches me for reading too much into these numbers!

Hope they won't repeat the same mistake as the first attempt when the critical moment occured just during this swap that caused the lost of communication between the command center DSN from California to Usuda, Japan

Indeed, now, the DSN for Hayabusa is located in Australia...(I think so since it faces to Sun now)
