I have read that Hayabusa is programmed to ascend as soon as possible after the horn has fired a ball and spend some few seconds in order to capture powder into the canister.

From the blog:
QUOTE
何らかの理由により、はやぶさは上昇に転じました。

"Hayabusa started ascending for some reason"

Whether they suspect any anomaly or that this is indeed the normal course of operation, it's hard to tell from this short entry, but it does smell a bit like he's implying something unexpected happened.

That's the way I see it. Contact -- BANG! rise.

So what's the problem?

There was plenty of time between the 14 meters mark and the "Hayabusa has been turned to ascend in some reason" communication for touchdown and sampling.

At least the contact was not lost with the probe.
Hayabusa is still alive.

So far so good.

Exactly. Come to think of it, other than the imprecise doppler data they probably do not have enough information at this point in time anyway. The last time the doppler kept reading constant descent rate but it turned out that this was well within the margin of error if I remember correctly from their press conference.
