What do you guys make of this unusual feature:

The composition of the three raw pics (filter L257 without color retouching) shows some more. BTW I call this image the blue diamond regarding the lonely blue stone (where, I think, Spirit's wheel has leave one's mark - three bright spots).

Starting some IDD work by the looks of it

On the side, does anyone else see what looks like dents at the base of the arm? blink.gif
On the cylindrical part that protrudes to the right at the base.
I can't find any earlier images to compare with at the moment.

It does look kind of nasty, but I checked back - I just looked at Hazcam shots that had a lot of images listed, in the Raw Images section of JPL's site. Anyway, here's a shot from Sol 44. That same cylindrical thingy looks banged up then too. I assume that's how it's supposed to look. Sure does show the dust buildup though.
