Good afternoon, I’m Byron Jones. This is the Flight Director report for Tuesday April 12th. This week both rovers are focusing on driving towards the new science targets.
On Spirit, today is sol 453. As Woodrow Wilson once said: “a man swimming against the stream certainly knows the strength of it.” And Spirit’s certainly seen that the last few sols in her attempt to make it up the ‘Columbia Hills’. On the other side of Mars, Opportunity, it’s sol 433. She’s continuing her drive south toward ‘Victoria’ crater, her next science target. Thanks for tuning in. I’m Byron Jones and that’s what’s happening on Mars today. |
