Where is Cassini? No new raw images since the 6th and no new Significant Event Reports so far, it is usually out by this time every Friday.

Strange....still nothing new since May 6th.
Are they not taking images at the moment? Or are they taking images and just not posting them....or has the JPL webiste broken down? |

QUOTE (Sunspot @ May 16 2005, 05:16 PM) Strange....still nothing new since May 6th. Are they not taking images at the moment? Or are they taking images and just not posting them....or has the JPL webiste broken down? I'm not sure but the 35-day S11 sequence began on May 14; a 5-day rings segment kicks off tomorrow, May 18. The Main Engine Assembly (MEA) cover is closed on May 21 in preparation for an ascending ring plane crossing that same day. Also on May 21 are non-targeted flybys of Atlas, Prometheus, and Enceladus, as well as Earth/Sun occultation of Saturn before the descending rings plane crossing on May 23. |
