We have already discussed about this topic (link1, link2), but it would be nice to know his point about the matter and why is there this discrepancy on the documents which can be found on the net.

I would like to ask about what else JPL will be interested to visit after Beagle Crater. Go directly to Victoria or to some around interesting smaller craters on the Victoria's arpon. If JPL decides to go straight to Victoria, where JPL would like to head to? Will Oppy stay close to Beacon?

Has Jim ever composited himself, or been composited, into a MER pan a la the UMSF BBQ.

Doug, I have a question a bit off topic but it comes in the line of what you've just said...
Knowing that, since the mission control has 'moved' from JPL to Cornell, there are some graduated and undergraduated students envolved on the operations, I would like to know what are their specific tasks, level of decision, taking in account that some of them will probably form the MSL team.
Does this mission have already a practical role in their formation?

I've heard Steve talk about Magellan's expedition which set of with several ships and 270 people......and returned years later with 18 men and one ship....the Victoria - at the time he had images of a team of 18 grad students driving Opportunity to Victoria crater

Yes, the expedition is inspiring, some time ago I've sent this to Steve and made him a suggestion...

I would love to see those students circumnavigate Victoria!
