Selling piece by piece thats a smart way of selling it with THAT pricetag.
I sure would like one also - only wonder if they also will sell a Delta launcher in the same affordable piecemal way. wink.gif

Super Cool smile.gif

All we need is a MER like that with some sand and a rock garden mars.gif

and then NONE of US will ever be heard from again

as we endlessly plan every conceiveable path into and around Victoria, the Promised Land and beyond !! wheel.gif wheel.gif wheel.gif

bring it ON biggrin.gif

That sounds like it'd the distributed-computing version of MER navigation. smile.gif

Quite an impressive model, though it sounds more like a fully functional rover.

It looks like they intend to sell it in 7 chunks of 90 odd euros.

Can anyone who speaks italian help me find out how to subscribe?

I've emailed the contact page to see what they say.

I HAVE TO BUILD ONE (and customize it a bit to look a bit better smile.gif )

I could buy the release with the first piece and check if there is a postcard for subscribers!
Anyway the editor is DeAgostini and there is a UK website.
Contact me with an email or a PM. I'll help you!!

Excuse me, I'm wrong... It seems that the editor is Peruzzo and not DeAgostini.

Look better??? blink.gif What the heck are you going to do, add a genuine working Alpha Proton X-ray Spectrometer? smile.gif

I wonder how much they'd charge for a similar version of the MER rovers, or the MSL.
djellison
Oh - a bit of tweaking here and there smile.gif

The thing with this is that you can do a 1:1 scale and not be totally oversized for a home project - MER would be too big at 1:1 smile.gif
