Previously some people have wondered if you might be able to morph between Navcam OpNav frames to make a more seamless movie.
I was doubtfull - but I had a go using Morph Age on OSX all the same
Morph Movie (2.5mb)I'm still doubtfull

I wonder if it would work better with the navcam frames projected in ground-relative frame of reference (as with some of my recent movies, which I've had to take down because of bandwidth issues).

Doug,
I found it very good, not jerky, kind of elastic, but overall better than clanking from one nav to another.
If it can be made better..fantastic...

I liked it. None of that jerkiness, very smooth transitions.

I got a very "3D" feeling for the surface during the warping transitions. I think there is potential there.

I think Mike might be on to something with using his cunning pointing-corrected images. I may try that at some point.

Hmm... Your morphing movie gives me an idea for something sort of similar I might try using MMB - not morphing as such, but smoothly panning between frames. Give me a few days, I might have something. Might be cool, or might just cause sea-sickness, who knows.
