It's great to see you putting your wonderful work up on the web. I do have one comment though. You are linking directly to images from exploratorium and showing them as thumbnails, images that are definitely not thumbnails

It doesn't bother me really, but if site traffic increases, it could be put a bit of pressure on exploratorium as it would be serving up several (or many) 100+kb images per page. I'm on a university 10mBit connection and it still takes a while to load.

Just a thought. Love the pans though!

Indeed, I think it would be only polite to notify Exploratorium, if you are doing that.

Exploratorium is aware of Midnight Mars Browser, for example, because some folks here prompted me to notify them, way back when.

If you are showing the images as thumbnails in the browser perhaps you should be linking to JPL instead. They have real thumbnails at their site. It would save bandwidth, both for the source you are using and for the user.

for the browser of Exploratorium's images, my goal is to make thumbnails on my web site but my process of auto-update for xml file and thumbnails is not finish yet.

perhaps that I should remove the page to avoid all problem …

- 2 weeks to compute the 353 panoramas.
- the computed resolution is 8000x6000 pixels ( if some peoples want full resolution ask it )

my plan is
- All Spirit Navcam Pano ( in progress +- 40% )
- All Spirit And Opportunity Vertical Projection in 2cm/pixel, 5cm/pixel and 15cm/pixel ( it's a part of my HiResRouteMap Project )
- All Spirit et Opportuntiy Navcam stereo.
- Create all the images colors possible and after that create all color panorama possible and in this case All Nacam / pancam - B&W/color panorama like this

some vertical projection need a reprojection

- originals verticals projections are in 4000x4000 pixels ( 0.15 m/pix, 0.5 m/pix , 0.02 m/pix )
- originals spherics projections are in 8000x4000 pixels
- originals polars projections are in 2048x2048 pixels

and the image montage are in 3000x2000 pixels ...
