Hello, my name is Daniel Limonadi and I’m providing the Flight Director report for Thursday August 26th.
Today at the Spirit site it is sol 230 around midday. And we basicly just finished brushing off a rock ‘Ebeneezer’ and took remote sensing observations of the brushed off area as well as the areas surrounding ‘Ebeneezer’ and we found some very interesting layered rocks in this area close to ‘Ebeneezer’ that the scientists will be studying the next few days.
On the other side of the planet Opportunity, it is sol 210 currently. But we only have data down for sol 209 and on sol 209 we basicly had a pretty easy day on Opportunity. We did just some simple remote sensing observations with cameras and Mini-TES of the area directly around the rover and we took some atmospheric observations.
So that’s it for the Mars report for today.
