You can just hear back at Phoenix HQ, 'What do you mean none made it through the screen? Keep digging!'

Deimos
You have to be careful posting images like this ... it brought Phoenix operations planning to a standstill for a couple minutes before the laughter stopped.

Just for fun! rolleyes.gif

A slight task: can you guess the microbial species I have mounted on the image?
Airbag
Escherichia coli?

Airbag
Zvezdichko
Nope, actually, Bacillus subtilis and Yersinia pestis. That means: Don't send people to Mars smile.gif
tty
Actually Yersinia pestis should be pretty harmless. You can't inhale it so you won't get pulmonary plague and I don't think rats are much of a problem on Mars.

Ha ha, perhaps like some bizarre fractal, Mars is constructed entirely of microscopic Mars faces of varying sizes! (But only under certain lighting conditions)

Great cartoons indeed... but I'm afraid the refreshing drink would evaporate immediately...
Haven't seen any cartoon of a completely frozen Phoenix Lander during the next Martian winter ph34r.gif

Not a cartoon as such, but I made this ages ago... not realistic now, based on what we know, but still makes me feel sad... sad.gif
