Hello, this is Beth Dewell for the Mars Exploration Rover Flight Director report for Tuesday March 1st 2005.

Today on Spirit it’s currently sol 412 at the end of the day. On sol 411 and 412 we completed portions two and three of a four part panorama over ‘Tennessee Valley’. On sol 413 our plan is to execute the fourth portion of this panorama.

On the other side of the planet on Opportunity, it’s currently sol 392 at the beginning of the day. Our previous approach to ‘Normandy’ was successful. The 392 plan includes beginning our IDD work on the rock feature ‘Normandy’ at a target named ‘Omaha’. This is an undisturbed surface-target of rock at the edge of ‘Naturaliste’ crater. This IDD work includes a Microscope Imager mosaic and doing Alpha Particle X-Ray Spectrometer work.

And that’s what’s happening on Mars today.
