New Blender Add-Ons for DTMs and DEMs Options

This is my first post.

FYI.
Over the last couple of weeks there have been 2 new Blender add-ons to import DTMs/DEMs.

The first, written by Tim Spriggs from HiRise, imports HiRise DTMs into Blender.
The add-on is now part of the Blender 2.56a Beta release and is available at:

I am a beginner with Blender but here are 2 of my attempts with the add-on.
I am using an XP Pro box with 2GB of ram.
I am still working on the colors and lighting.

The second add-on, written by Valter Battioli, imports LRO Lola and MGS Mola data.
This add-on is still in development.

how did you make that artistic DEM?

i used blender nodes to make the heightmap and a texture for that KBO

here is a blend file for something like that above image

it is similar and you can play with the node settings to create what you want

there is NO!!! documentation you will have to fallow the logic of the node set up

will it work in 2.70? (i am unable to use the 2.8 versions due to computer limitations)
and i tried opening the link and it gave me access denied (you must have forgotten to change the link settings from restricted to everyone with the link)


anyways to bring thinks back on topic, what KBO is that?
